How the Adoption Process Works
Adoptions are facilitated through our rescue partner(s) with the cat’s long-term wellbeing as the top priority.
The general process includes:

A meet-and-greet with the cat at the cafe

Submitting an adoption application including resident info, veterinarian contact, and personal reference

Answering any follow up questions we may have, or documents needed.

If approved you will need to schedule a time to complete the contract, pay the fee, take an adoption picture, and take home your new furbaby.

The adoption fee goes directly to LSPCA so that they can save more pets in the future!
Submitting the first application does not guarantee adoption. Applications are reviewed carefully to ensure each cat is placed in the best possible home for their personality and needs.
Our Rescue Partner
We work with established rescue organizations to help cats find permanent, loving homes.
Our current rescue partner is the Lancaster SPCA.
Our partners handle medical care and placing cats with fosters. Our role is to provide a comfortable space where people can meet cats, ask questions, and begin the adoption journey. We also provide their food, litter, and enrichment from the admission fees.
If you fall in love with a particular cat, our team will gladly help you with next steps.

Adopted Alumni and Happy Tails
Seeing cats head home with their new families is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
Alumni receive 10% off cat boarding. Some adopters choose to stay connected through an alumni community where they share photos and updates as their cats settle into their new homes.
Meet Verde
Verde is Purrfect Pair's matriarch of meows. She is our resident diva and queen of the cat lounge. Verde stole all of our hearts with her sassy personality and now has a purrever home here at the cafe. Check out our other purrmanent residents!
Purrmanent Residents
Not every cat in our lounge is adoptable. Some cats are purrmanent residents, meaning they live here full-time and are not part of the adoption program.
These nine felines play an important role in creating a calm, social atmosphere and help visitors learn more about different purrsonalities. Some of them even have their own fan clubs!
